When Pelvic Pain and Endometriosis Take Over Daily Life
Endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain can affect every part of life including work, relationships, intimacy, exercise, social plans and your sense of self. Many women are told for years that
“period pain is normal” or that their symptoms are exaggerated.

Common symptoms I support include:
-
Severe period pain that interferes with work or daily activities
-
Pelvic pain outside your period
-
Pain with bowel movements or urination, especially around your period
-
Bloating or “endo belly”
-
Heavy bleeding, clots or flooding
-
Pain with intercourse
-
Low back pain, hip or thigh pain with your cycle
-
Fatigue and low energy
-
Nausea, digestive upset or IBS-like symptoms
-
Pain flares with stress or hormonal shifts
-
Ongoing pelvic pain, even after surgery or medical treatment
These symptoms are real and significant and they deserve thorough, compassionate support regardless of whether you have a formal diagnosis or not.
Why Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Cause So Many Symptoms
Endometriosis and adenomyosis are complex conditions involving:
-
Inflammation and immune activation
-
Changes in pain signalling and nervous system sensitivity
-
Hormonal influences, especially oestrogen and progesterone balance
-
Pelvic floor involvement and muscle tension
-
Gut–pelvis interactions, including microbiome changes
-
Possible effects on bladder and bowel function
-
Impacts on mood, sleep and stress tolerance

Chronic pelvic pain can develop independently or persist after surgery, often due to sensitised pain pathways. Pelvic pain can feel and look different for everyone and sometimes doesn't involve endometriosis or adenomyosis at all. Understanding your unique pattern helps us target support rather than relying on one-size-fits-all approaches.
My Approach to Endometriosis & Pelvic Pain Support
Validation and Listening First
Your pain is real. Your experience matters. Many women with endometriosis and pelvic pain have felt dismissed for years. This is a space where your symptoms are taken seriously.
Addressing the Nervous System & Pain Pathways
Chronic pain increases the “volume” on the nervous system. We focus on strategies that support the stress response, sleep and pain processing over time.
Collaboration with your Medical Team
Many women I support are also seeing gynaecologists, pain specialists, pelvic floor physiotherapists or taking medications. Naturopathic care is designed to complement, not replace, this care.
Reducing Inflammation & Supporting Hormones
We work with nutrition, lifestyle and targeted support to help calm inflammatory drivers and support more balanced hormone signalling.
Realistic Nutrition
No extreme diets. We prioritise realistic changes that support gut health, blood sugar balance, inflammation and hormone metabolism without unnecessary restriction.
Functional Testing when Helpful
Testing may include hormone metabolites, microbiome assessment or other targeted investigations, depending on symptoms. It’s always optional.

We explore your symptoms, health history, hormones, pain patterns, triggers, stress load, diet and lifestyle.

We create a realistic, evidence based plan that feels do-able for you. If testing would be helpful, we'll discuss your options.

We identify the likely factors driving your symptoms. We discuss the impact on your life; your goals and priorities.

We map out the next steps, then check in regularly to refine your plan, track improvements and make adjustments as needed.
This is not about “pushing through”. It’s about creating a care plan that respects your body and your capacity.
Support Available Australia-Wide
Endometriosis and pelvic pain often require ongoing support, which can be difficult to access if you live outside major centres or struggle to leave home due to pain.
I offer Telehealth consultations to women across Australia, including Perth, Albany, Denmark, Mount Barker and rural or remote communities. This ensures you can receive consistent, specialised care without the added burden of travel.
Testing kits and prescribed supplements can be posted directly to you.
